From Sweat to Success — The Story Behind ResilieNt Nurse+Mom Artsy Store

“Poverty is not a barrier. It’s a beginning — if you dare to rise.”
I was born and raised in the Philippines, where I earned my degree in Geothermal Engineering — but life had a different plan. I took a leap of faith and moved to the United States with just a sponsorship for my travel and nothing more. Everything else — my education, survival, dreams — I had to build from scratch.
I worked many different jobs that paid the bills and often broke my back, just to afford nursing school, car payments, helping family back home when needing medical attention. It was grueling. I remember long days, aching muscles, and lonely nights. But I kept pushing. Why? Because I believed I could change my life. And I did. I became a nurse.
Then came marriage, motherhood, and the juggle of responsibilities that every working mom knows too well. Life in the U.S. wasn’t glamorous — struggle was real, full of effort, budgeting, balancing time, and still sending support back home to the Philippines.
But along the way, I discovered something that kept my soul thriving — art and business. Designing, creating, personalizing things that could bring joy to others gave me a sense of peace and purpose beyond the hospital shifts and motherly duties.
So I launched this business — ResilieNt Nurse+Mom Artsy Store with Digital Marketing Business — not just as a side hustle, but as a platform to prove something:
That your background doesn’t define your future.
That it’s okay to start over.
That even if you’re living an average life in a foreign land, you can still create something extraordinary.
This business reflects my journey — the hardships, the triumphs, the creative sparks, the resilience. And through every printable planner, every personalized mug, tote, every digital design or blueprint for financial freedom, I hope to inspire and give hope to someone else out there: another mom, another immigrant dreamer, another nurse who might be thinking, “Can I really do this?”
Yes, you can.
Thanks for being part of my story. 💛
And for letting my creations become part of yours.
